Deathstars and Sabaton Live @ Tavastia
Feb 17th
If you want to see a good live performance, do not go to see Deathstars. While their music is pretty nice, their “act” seems more like Hanoi Rocks on tour. Hell, their guitarists looked like visiting artist from Sturm und Drang. At least their bass player, Skinny, had some balls, but not enough to save the gig. And what a way for the singer to get the people excited; he tried to get the people to sing “Swedish bands rock, Finnish bands suck”. Perhaps it might have worked if the singer wouldn’t have had his head shoved so deep in his ass. Or perhaps it was his scarf that was in his ass.
Technically, they did a good job. But their stage performance sucked big time. What’s the point to go see them perform live then? I could have just listened to them at home.

Building cars for Fallout
Feb 12th
I really need to get a better movie editing tool than Windows Movie Maker : P
Well, I am not really building cars since I just used the model found at Tranquility Lane. But I spent a full day’s work on making the skeleton for the car, rigging the pieces to that skeleton and then another day trying to get it to work in game. It was a nice learning experience. I must write some ideas down before I forget em, hence I am writing this post. Please read on if you’re interested.
The Complete Animated History of the Internet
Feb 10th
Well, this video is quite interesting, although I think they skip alot of recent history of the Internet (the video ends at TCP/IP).
Found it here (thanks to KrazyKommy for link)
Slowmo Modding
Jan 27th
I must say that the modding scene for Fallout 3 has slowed down dramatically. Or atleast I think so.
I frequently idle on the channel #Fallout3Modding @ Quakenet. Couple months ago the discussion there was pretty vibrant. Everyone was asking “How I do this with the hex editor” or saying “Wow, I just got my first weapon to work ingame”. Everyone pretty much knew what the other people there were working on and helped each other out when they could. Nowadays I can pretty much fit the 24 hours worth of discussion on a single window. And most of the time that discussion is about something completely different than the channel name suggests.
Perhaps the discussion has just moved on to forums and wikis. But then again, I tend to read those daily aswell and there rarely is much that I’d really consider new or ground breaking. Some flamewars, some bumps on project topics and someone complaining about or looking for another nude mod. Forums also tend to turn more and more hostile as the time passes.
Are we already past the peak of Fallout 3 modding? I think its kinda sad if we are. Luckily there is not too many intereting games coming out on Q1, so I think that Fallout 3 modding might still have a chance with the upcoming DLC and all.
But enough rambling for now. Need to continue work on Project Valhalla. Perhaps it will spark a new life to the scene once complete.
